What is Motion North?
Motion North is an industry event in Manchester for the animation and motion design community. We bring together animation professionals, students, and enthusiasts; passionate about exploring new creative methods and technologies. Our mission is to help our industry develop creatively and professionally, across the North, and beyond. To encourage connection, and to help empower the next generation of artists.

We've wanted to keep the conversation going for a while now. A resource between events. So welcome to MN Connect. Here you can get to know people better, and keep the chatter alive.

Chit Chat: Our general chat room. Nothing too formal in here, just a place to say hello and see what people are up to.
Industry News: If you've seen something happening, or have some work to talk about. Or you know something going on we should all know about, this is the place.
The Pin Board: Somewhere to post thoughts, problems, ideas; and where other members can comment and help out.
PLAY
Tips n Tricks: Learnt a new way to make things. Found a plug-in that others may like. Seen a tutorial that you have to share. Post it in here.
Th Showcase: A place for you to post a little bit about the work you do.
WORK
Business Time: It's not all colouring in! If you need help with your bank, insurance, or worrying about the best way to invoice people.....ask in here. Plenty of people will have gone through something similar.
Jobs & Roles: Straight forward. If you're looking for helpers, and need to advertise, post it in here.
Production People: This is an invite only, members area, entirely for Production chat.
EVENTS
Pretty obviously about our Motion North nights, but we will post other events we think are relevant in here. Also keep an eye out as we'll have a special Questions section for our events.
The beauty of this is we can add things when we need them, so let us know how you get on...and any ideas of what we could do in future.
This is an area for those working in or around our industry. We reserve the right to refuse memberships to those we feel are here just to sell to, or sell around us. This is a creative first space.
